Tell us an inspirational moment that made you the person you are today
I think one of the main moments in my life that really helped change my view of myself and shaped me to become the person I am today, was when I came out as gay to my family and the world. I was 16 years old at the time and it was a really tough decision following which my family didn’t talk to me for 4 years and I lost friends along the way. But it made me super headstrong and mentally independent.
We all have idols we look up to. Who was yours growing up, and why?
It’s always been my mother and my sister. My mother, taking the decision to give up everything for people she loves, taught me compassion. And my sister’s resilience in making sure she’s successful as a mother as she is as a pilot is remarkable.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Pilot, which I eventually achieved.
Who is your Instagram inspiration, and why?
Myself. I look at my feed and strive to do better each time.

2020 has been hard. What has changed in your life, personally and professionally?
I think the way I’ve seen the world and relationships have completely changed. So many friendships have fallen apart and so many have come to life like never before. As for my blog, I’ve seen content creation in a new found light. I have a lot of respect for creators who make content at home, hats off to them. But at the same time, it has made me appreciate my love for street style a lot more.
Which is the dream brand Tejeshwar Sandhoo has always wanted to work with, and why?
It has to be Gucci. Something about their aesthetic and the way they blend luxury with quirk is phenomenal. I got the chance to work with them for the first time and it was lovely.
Where do you find your creative inspiration from?
From within. It all comes from inside. Whenever I feel like creating something, I go for it. I also get inspired by all the beautiful and unusual surroundings I come across; it could be as simple as a decorated flower pot on the side of the road or even the flyover I’d cross on my way. Anything really.
If not an influencer, which career path would you have chosen?
Not many people know that but I work full-time, heading social media for an app. I would always work and blog on the side. The hustle is real.
How would Tejeshwar Sandhoo like to be remembered?
I would like to be remembered as a person who made sure that he broke the rules and stood up for what’s right. Always. But, he was the nicest person we met.
